Roccia, bosco e acqua: la Ferrata Sasse è un itinerario particolare e panoramico che corre lungo la sponda del Lago d’Idro, regalando scorci spettacolari e diversi ambienti durante il percorso. 🌊⛰️
📍 PUNTO DI PARTENZA
Si parte da Vesta d’Idro, lasciando l’auto nel parcheggio vicino alla spiaggia e al molo. Da qui si percorre il sentiero lungo il lago fino a raggiungere l’inizio della ferrata, con un avvicinamento di circa 40 minuti.

Il percorso presenta cenge nella roccia, passaggi verticali, tratti attrezzati e una suggestiva passerella sopra una piccola insenatura. In diversi punti il tracciato si avvicina moltissimo all’acqua, permettendo di godere del panorama sul lago praticamente per tutta la salita. 🔭🌲
🔄 RIENTRO
Al termine della ferrata è possibile tornare verso Vesta seguendo il Sentiero dei Contrabbandieri, con un tempo indicativo di circa 1 ora e 40 minuti. Durante la stagione estiva, in alternativa, può essere disponibile il servizio di battello sul lago.
🪖 ATTREZZATURA NECESSARIA
Casco, imbrago e set da ferrata omologato. Consigliati inoltre scarponcini da trekking e abbigliamento adeguato alle condizioni del percorso.

The route starts in Vesta d’Idro, where you can park near the beach and the pier. From there, follow the lakeside trail towards the beginning of the via ferrata, with an approach of approximately 40 minutes.

The route features rock ledges, vertical sections, protected passages and a spectacular walkway above a small inlet. In several sections, the trail gets very close to the water, offering continuous views over Lake Idro. 🔭🌲
🔄 RETURN
At the end of the via ferrata, you can return towards Vesta via the Sentiero dei Contrabbandieri, which takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. During the summer season, the lake boat service may also be available as an alternative.
🪖 REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Helmet, harness and certified via ferrata lanyard set. Hiking boots and suitable clothing are also recommended.
⚠️ The Sasse is a protected via ferrata route. It should only be undertaken with adequate experience, preparation and appropriate safety equipment.
